Other Chicagoland institutions have been considering or already have public figures teaching courses in a variety of departments. These institutions would like the scholarly students of the University of Illinois at Chicago(UIC) to weigh in on the matter. Most UIC students believe that celebrity involvement in UIC environment would have a negative outcome. The support for this is as follows. Celebrities serve as a way of entertainment by means of television, theater, etc. When one thinks of celebrities, many other words come along with that such as gossip, love affairs, scandals and lies. On the other hand, professors are credited as intelletuals and are well respected. Having celebrities in the same level as these hard working professors would prove to be a great mockery.

Here we see Marilyn Manson teaching at a university. As
we can see he is in full makeup as if he were to perform
in a one of his concerts. On the board he wrote "Mr. Manson".
He is using his stage name not his real name so in a way this is
just another performance for him.
